Dr. Aakriti Chawla
Ms Aakriti Chawla is an integral part of our team. She is associated with Antardaristi as a qualified Clinical Psychologist and special educator and her major area is to improve the well-being of the patient. Ms Aakriti Chawla completed an undergraduate degree in BSc. (H) and Bachelor of Education in special education at Delhi University.
Subsequently pursued MA in Clinical Psychology at Amity University, and completed an M.Sc. in counselling and family therapy and a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology at Guru Gobind Singh University.
She currently has speciality certification from the Rehabilitation Council of India in clinical psychology and special education. Her clinical interests have included Q, personality, depression, anxiety and child psychology. In the course of psychotherapy and counselling, she employs a wide variety of cognitive behavioural and insight-oriented strategies.
She says, “I understand how difficult it is to live with the memories of a traumatic past..” Her research and interests have included addictions, psychometrics, clinical training and supervision, and the integration of values in psychotherapy and supervision.

Her objective is to help clients discover and use their unique personal resources for their treatment. She bases her work with young people and their families on a collaborative, strengths-based approach, empowering her clients to write the stories of their own lives. She deals with clients who are dealing with trauma, self-esteem issues, disruptive behaviours, anxiety and despair.
